Gunman killed and 2 injured in shooting at Old Dominion College in Virginia

Two individuals were wounded in a shooting incident at Old Dominion University in Virginia, where the gunman was swiftly neutralized by law enforcement, as reported by the university.

The shooting took place in the technology building on the campus of Old Dominion University (ODU), a public research institution located in Norfolk.

Sophomore Logan Hayes, who was taking an exam in the Constant Hall building at the time, described hearing multiple gunshots and people screaming during the incident, according to WAVY.

The two injured students were promptly transported to a local hospital after the shooting occurred around 10:50 a.m., although their current conditions remain undisclosed.

The identity of the gunman has not been disclosed, and it is uncertain whether the individual was a student at ODU.

In response to the incident, ODU announced the suspension of all classes and campus operations for the day in a statement addressed to students.
