Video captures car flying across street, crashing into scaffolding outside NY Buffalo Wild Wings

A dramatic video captures a car soaring across a bustling intersection in New York, narrowly avoiding cars and pedestrians before colliding with scaffolding outside a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant.

The incident occurred as an SUV was traveling east on Main Street in White Plains. The vehicle suddenly veered to the right, struck an island, and became airborne as it crossed the northbound lanes of Mamaroneck Avenue on Monday afternoon. The shocking footage was shared by White Plains Public Safety.

The Acura MDX came dangerously close to hitting three individuals standing on the island at the time. Fortunately, it narrowly missed several other pedestrians on the street before crashing through the scaffolding and coming to a stop outside the restaurant.

Despite the heavy foot traffic in the area, no pedestrians were injured, and the driver, an 80-year-old man from Long Island, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He is currently in stable condition at a hospital, as reported by News12 Westchester.

Witness Annika Venning, a resident of White Plains, described the scene, stating, "The car pretty much T-boned the building, it was ridiculous. It's honestly a miracle that no one got hurt."

Authorities are investigating whether the crash was caused by a potential driver error or mechanical issue. The incident occurred around 4 p.m., and the vehicle was removed approximately four hours later. Despite the incident, Buffalo Wild Wings remained open for business, with crews working to repair the damaged scaffolding, according to News 12.
