A massive fire engulfed a four-story luxury mansion in Hollywood Hills West on Monday evening, causing flames to burst through the roof of the million-dollar property.
More than 100 firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department, Beverly Hills Fire Department, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department swiftly responded to the incident at 1258 Hilldale Ave around 6:10 p.m.
Within 42 minutes of their arrival, fire crews managed to bring the blaze under control. The fire, which was limited to the roof without affecting nearby vegetation or structures, had already spread through the upper floors of the mansion.
LAFD air units provided support while firefighters battled the flames, with the LAFD Arson unit now conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.
During the operation, a firefighter from the Los Angeles County Fire Department sustained a minor burn and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The intense fire generated dramatic scenes as flames shot through the mansion's roof, casting thick smoke over the Hollywood Hills neighborhood.
Responding units from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were soon joined by additional units from the Los Angeles Fire Department. The exact trigger of the blaze remains unknown at this time.
