Man hospitalized after turning completely blue, leading to strange bedroom find

A man was hospitalized after turning completely blue due to dye from his new bedsheets, leading to a surprising discovery. Tommy Lynch, 42, had purchased navy blue bedsheets and slept on them for two nights, causing him to wake up resembling the character "Avatar."

Feeling extremely fatigued, Lynch was taken to the hospital by a friend who works as a carer. Upon arrival, medical staff promptly provided him with care, including oxygen support. It was during a medical examination that the source of the blue coloring was revealed - the unwashed dye from his new bedsheets.

Describing the incident, Lynch shared that he unintentionally amused the medical staff but was relieved to leave the hospital with more of his natural color restored. Reflecting on the experience, Lynch admitted he had not realized the importance of washing new sheets before using them.

The construction worker from Castle Gresley, Derbyshire, received the bedsheets as a gift and had not anticipated the dye transfer issue. Oversleeping on the second night of using the sheets, Lynch awoke to find himself completely blue, leading to concern from his friend and family about his health.

Following a series of baths over the next week to remove the dye, Lynch humorously advised others to wash their sheets before use to avoid similar mishaps. He expressed gratitude for the medical staff's care and understanding during the unusual situation.
