Heidi Fleiss' parrots Gin and Juice cause noise conflict with Vegas neighbor

Heidi Fleiss, the former Hollywood madam, has found herself in a dispute with a Las Vegas neighbor over the noise generated by her exotic birds, named Gin and Juice. Shauna Cordova, a long-time resident of the southeast side of the Las Vegas Valley, has expressed frustration over the loud early-morning screeching of Fleiss's parrots, which regularly disrupts her sleep.

Cordova revealed to 8 News Now that the raucous behavior of the macaws, known for their vibrant plumage and long tails, often wakes her up at dawn, leading to a sense of irritation. Despite Fleiss previously considering a move to Missouri after one of her macaws was shot with a pellet gun in 2022, she ultimately decided to stay in Nevada.

The neighbor, who is an animal lover herself and owns various pets including dogs, roosters, chickens, and a goat, mentioned that the continuous noise from the birds has strained her relationship with Fleiss. Cordova recently purchased an $850,000 property featuring a bird aviary with over 30 birds that are allowed to roam freely instead of being confined.

Fleiss, who gained notoriety for running a high-end prostitution ring in Los Angeles during the 1990s, suggested that her neighbor's discontent might stem more from her past than the birds' noise. Despite the ongoing conflict, Fleiss expressed a willingness to address the situation and cooperate with her neighbors to find a resolution.

The situation escalated when Fleiss accused an unnamed neighbor of involving Animal Control to take her beloved birds away, leading to further tension. Fleiss, who has kept a relatively low profile since her legal troubles in the 1990s, emphasized her desire to avoid conflicts with those around her and expressed a willingness to engage in dialogue to address concerns.

In response to the noise complaints, Cordova indicated that county regulations could potentially restrict Fleiss to owning only 20 birds and impose outdoor limitations due to the proximity of the properties to Reid Airport, designated as a "bird strike hazard area."

This recent dispute adds to a series of conflicts involving Fleiss and her birds, including a previous disagreement in 2022 with Brandi McClain, an individual who reportedly had a professional connection to Fleiss, over a custodial agreement for four macaws.
